Mr Kevin Thomas Williams

Kevin Williams was educated at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School Carmarthen and graduated with honours from The University College of Wales Aberystwyth in 1974. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1977 and thereafter served his articles of clerkship with a prominent litigation firm in Llanelli. He was employed as an assistant clerk to the justices for a short period and has practised in Lampeter since 1978.

Mr Williams has extensive experience of advocacy. He is a Court Duty Solicitor and is accredited as a Police Station Solicitor advisor. He has specialised in agricultural and rural matters including family partnership disputes and has conducted many successful professional negligence actions. He has been responsible for cases that have concluded in the High Court and Court of Appeal. Two of his prominent cases have been mentioned in the Law Reports.

He is Registrar to the Archdeacon of Cardigan and before restructuring of the system he was Clerk to the local Commissioners of Income Tax. He is a fluent Welsh speaker and has conducted cases through the medium of Welsh on several occasions. He is a former President of the West Wales Law Society.

He is deeply involved in rural life. He has lectured widely on the Law relating to Bees and Beekeeping and the theory and practice of keeping Bees. He also lectures locally on legal and rural matters. He has extensive knowledge in defending animal welfare cases.

He works closely with his daughter Angharad in the practice and would say that the experience of age and the enthusiasm of youth is a combination that benefits the practice in general and the clients of the practice in particular.

Mrs Angharad Williams

Angharad graduated with honours from Aberystwyth University in 2001 and undertook the legal practice course in Chester. Angharad has been a qualified solicitor for over 9 years and is one of the firm’s directors. Angharad deals mainly with non contentious matters. Her areas of practice include acting for clients regarding the sale and purchase of property, drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney, and administering estates. Angharad has also acted for clients as a deputy under the court of protection and has a particular interest in estate planning issues and is able to advise clients on inheritance tax issues, care home fees and other relevant matters, Angharad is a fluent welsh speaker.

Angharad is married and has one daughter. Outside the office her interests include travelling, scuba diving and hiking


Mr Deryck Lindsey

Deryck graduated with an LLB hons degree from the University of London in 1969 after serving articles in Leicester and attending the College of Law in Guildford, he qualified as a solicitor in 1972.
Deryck established a new legal partnership in 1977 in Leicester which later established five branch offices. He specialised in conveyancing, family, criminal law and advocacy.

Deryck and his partners sold their legal practice in 2004 and in 2005 he and his wife moved to a smallholding in Wales. Since then Deryck has practiced in Aberystwyth and after taking a short break from the legal profession, he has been employed part time with the practice since May 2012 dealing principally with conveyancing and allied property work. Deryck is married, with two married daughter and thoroughly enjoys time spent with his four grandchildren.

Out of the office he enjoys, working on his smallholding, restoring an old farmhouse and outbuildings and gardening. He is a member of the Aberaeron Chorale and Lampeter University Chapel Choir. He enjoys watching all sports.

Mr William Bevan Jones

William Bevan Jones graduated from Downing College Cambridge obtaining MA and LLB degrees. (He subsequently completed a Masters degree course in European Union Law at the University of West Glamorgan).  He served his articles in Lincoln’s Inn, London and worked for a time in a London City firm.  Since then he has been in the country and has run his own practice for many years before merging it with Williams & Bourne this year and becoming a consultant to that firm.  His main experience has been in private client work generally but he also deals with the concerns of small businesses including for agricultural clients.  William has also advised on matters of EU law in various contexts and is a past vice-president of the Union des Avocats Européens.  He speaks Welsh and (with slightly more difficulty, French.)

Outside work his main interests are painting, travelling and walking (with mountains being a particular passion!) He is hoping to resume rock-climbing if he can find the time.


Mrs Janem Jones

Janem Jones graduated from The University of Wales in 1965 and gained a Master’s Degree in 1967. She pursued a career in Education and obtained a further Master’s degree in Education in 1982. She converted to Law in 1993 and was one of the first students of the University of Glamorgan to undertake the Common Professional Examination for Solicitors and Barristers which was the only course of its kind in Wales at that time. She obtained the Welsh Office Prize and the Cavendish Prize for Criminal Law as a result of that examination. Since qualifying as a solicitor, Janem has practiced in a busy High Street practice in the City of Swansea and subsequently for many years as a partner and senior partner in a West Wales firm where she specialised in Family Law, Education Law and Criminal Law. She joined the firm of Williams and Bourne as a Consultant in 2010. She is a Duty Solicitor and regularly attends the Police Station and the Magistrates Court as a Defence Solicitor. Janem also represents clients in the Family Proceedings Court and the County Court on a regular basis and is an experienced advocate

Miss Jennifer Ash

Jennifer Ash graduated with an LLB Hons 2:1 Degree in 2007. Jennifer then completed the Legal Practice Course in 2008 at Aberystwyth University and passed with Distinction.
Jennifer has established an excellent grounding in all areas of Family Law to include Divorce, child and financial issues. Her other areas of practice include personal injury, employment, civil litigation, tenancy issues, criminal, drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and administering estates.
Outside the office Jennifer’s interests include watching live music, travelling and socialising with friends.

Ms Myra Bulman

Myra is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. Myra has been employed with the practice since 1988 and deals primarily in Conveyancing work.

Practice manager

Mrs Marian James

Marian is the practice manager and deals primarily with accounts, any queries of a financial nature shall be addressed by Marian. Marian has been with the firm for over thirty years!
